Execute the CAPA plan

Just a few lines on executing the CAPA plan. In an earlier blog, I write about how to develop a CAPA plan.

When executing the CAPA plan, follow the action, owner, date due table you're populated. Have your colleagues, or if it's you executing, attach evidence of execution of actions to the problem-solving tool.

Once you've executed, before submitting for closure, consider again whether these completed actions have addressed the root cause in a satisfactory manner. Fair play if the answer is no. We want to be thorough to fix a problem once and for all.

If you are not satisfied, go back to CAPA planning and even root cause analysis to assess what more is needed and add to your CAPA plan.

Once you are satisfied, you can consider the plan executed, submit to your Quality Assurance colleagues for approval of closure. They in turn will, at some point, once the activities have reached sustainability, perform an effectiveness check.
